DEALING WITH STRESS

I am a firm believer in the power of positivity, whether it be in thoughts, words or deeds.

With life moving so fast and ever changing situations always around the corner. I want to take this opportunity to encourage you to take a deep breath and take in this present moment. Yes, right Now!! Inhale deeply, Exhale slowly. Wow, doesn't that feel awesome. It is very important to take "time to smell the roses". Yes, that may seem a bit cliche but it's absolutely true. Your daily performance is directly related to your level of stress. Therefore, how you deal with your stress is important. Here are three things to help you deal with stress.

1. Stop trying to be a Perfectionist

There is nothing wrong with having a bar to measure success but when nothing is ever good enough and acceptable, then it is impossible to keep your self esteem up. Go for good enough instead.

2. Get enough sleep

When stressed your body needs additional sleep. Get 8 hours of sleep per night.

3. Just Breathe

Reconnect with the present moment. Breathe in and out for 1-2 minutes and focus only on the act of breathing.
